I originally trained in Sports Massage at Farnborough Tech in the early 90’s however, fell into office work soon after working within the commercial world for companies such as ISOVEL, ICL, Chesterton, Workplace Management & finally Covion in positions from Admin to Management. However, upon return from a trip to India I took the opportunity of redundancy which was the turning point in my career as I returned to the world of therapies. I took a year out, returned to Farnborough Tech to learn Holistic Therapies, subsequently gaining immediate placement at a 5 star spa and relaxation complex near Wokingham as a massage therapist and dead sea floatation therapist giving massage in salt pools with 100 tons of dead sea salt… trust me this is an out of world experience… I thoroughly recommend it!!!!
I have migrated in to the world of Advanced Clinical Massage when I took a workshop at the JING Institute of Advanced Massage in Brighton. I was shall we say.. hooked and rather alot of addictive courses later… I am where I am to date. The experience gained in the commercial world is invaluable as I can relate to many conditions that I see regularly and can now help. I have lived with and managed pain myself since an accident when I was 11 and appreciate the effects it can have on a long term basis which I feel is a major bonus on understanding pain in others.
I love being able to reduce pain, increase range of motion usually between 1 – 6 sessions and compliment that success providing whole body relaxation with holistic therapies.
Q “Why did you get in to doing this treatment?!”
A “I found that holistic therapies albeit relaxing just didn’t float my boat on a regular basis and once I found JING I joined the revolution of advanced clinical massage to which the training they give is that of the highest in the UK. I now enjoy the flexibility of both disciplines that compliment one another”
